Account Security and Privacy
Change passwords, add passkeys, verify authenticators, and manage Social account links.

Use this guide to change your password, add a passkey, set up an authenticator app, or manage your optional Furries PH Social account link. These actions protect your attendee account and its records.
Before you start
Sign in, then open Settings → Account & security. Have your current password and enrolled authenticator device ready when applicable. Wait for the page to check your current security methods before changing them.
A passkey uses a device or password manager’s sign-in prompt. An authenticator app generates a short-lived six-digit code. They are separate methods; adding one does not automatically remove a requirement to use the other.
Change your password
1. Fill in the password panel
Find Change password. Enter the existing password in Current password, then enter your replacement in New password and again in Confirm new password.
The new password needs at least six characters with a lowercase letter, uppercase letter, number, and symbol. Use a unique password and make sure the two new-password fields match.
2. Update and wait for confirmation
Choose Update password. Wait for Password updated successfully before treating it as changed. Update your saved password in your own password manager if needed.
Expected result: you can use the new password for this account. If you do not know the current password, follow password recovery instead.
Add a passkey
1. Check availability
Find the passkey section. Read any availability message. Passkeys depend on a supported device, browser, and secure site address. If unavailable, you can continue using another supported sign-in method.
2. Start enrollment and follow your device
Use the page’s add-passkey action. Choose a passkey provider you control and finish the device prompt. The device may request its unlock method or ask where to save the passkey.
3. Check the success message
Wait for Passkey added to your account. You can then choose Use passkey on sign-in when supported. The page reports passkey availability; it does not provide an individual passkey list for renaming or deleting each one.
Set up an authenticator app
1. Start setup
Choose Set up authenticator in Add an authenticator app. Open an authenticator app on your own device and use its add-account function.
2. Add the displayed setup
Scan Regosite’s QR code with the authenticator app, or enter the supplied setup information if scanning is unavailable. Keep the QR code and setup information private: they allow an authenticator to generate account codes.
3. Verify the current code
Read the current six-digit code in the app, enter it into Regosite, and use the verification action. If the code is about to expire, wait for the next one before entering it.
4. Confirm enrollment
Wait for Authenticator app verified. Keep access to this app for future challenges and recovery. Simply scanning the QR code does not finish setup; the verification step connects the working method to your account.
Complete a required authenticator challenge
1. Read the request
You may see Authenticator approval required while opening an event or account page. This means you need a current code before continuing, even if another sign-in method already worked.
2. Enter the enrolled app’s code
Open the app enrolled for this account, enter its current six-digit code, and complete the challenge. After successful approval, Regosite can reopen the interrupted page. If it does not, return to that task from the menu.
Remove an authenticator
1. Check which method you are removing
Find the authenticator in the methods list and select its removal control. Ensure you can still sign in and satisfy the account’s security requirements afterward.
2. Complete the requested check and confirm
A verified method can require a recent multi-factor check. Follow it, then confirm Remove authenticator. Wait for the updated methods list. Use the dialog’s cancel action if you selected the wrong method.
Link or unlink Furries PH Social
1. Start from Social
Begin an account-link confirmation on Furries PH Social. Return to Regosite through that process and open Account & security. The Social account link section should show a confirmation ready for you.
2. Confirm the correct connection
Read the displayed account-link information and any expiry, then choose Confirm account link. Wait for Linked. If the confirmation is missing or expired, start a fresh confirmation from Social.
3. Revoke when needed
For an existing link, choose Revoke link, read the confirmation, and choose Revoke link again to remove it. You can start a new confirmation from Social later.
This is separate from linking Discord or Telegram through Friends settings.
Recover access and fix common problems
| Problem | Guidance |
|---|---|
| Forgot your password | Request a new reset email through sign-in. Use the newest link. |
| Reset asks for an authenticator | Use the enrolled app. Recovery email does not bypass an existing authenticator requirement. |
| Authenticator code fails | Check that it belongs to this account, use a fresh code, and check your device’s time settings. |
| Lost the authenticator | Try another configured sign-in method. If a required challenge still cannot be completed, use the available support channel; another sign-in method may not bypass it. |
| Methods are still being checked | Wait for the current check or use the offered retry before making security changes. |
| Passkey prompt was cancelled | Start again when ready, or use password or email-code sign-in. Cancellation is not successful enrollment. |
