Friends and Connected Accounts
Find attendees, review requests, control discovery, and manage shared blocks.
First created Last updated
Friends helps you find other attendees and manage who can connect with you. You can also link Discord or Telegram from its settings. A friend connection does not share an account or register either person for an event.
Before you start
Sign in and make sure you have an attendee username. Ask the other person for their exact username if you cannot identify them confidently. Provider linking needs access to the Discord or Telegram account you want to connect.
Enable Friends and send a request
1. Open Friends
Go to Friends. If disabled, choose Enable Friends. This enables both Friends and username discovery; review the privacy switches afterward if you want different discovery settings.
2. Find the right person
In Friends → Find people, enter at least two characters of their attendee username. Search can update while you type. For example, search mochi if your friend told you their username is mochi_panda. Check the returned username and person before adding them; a similar name may belong to someone else.
3. Send the request
Choose Add beside the correct person and wait for confirmation. They must accept before appearing as an accepted friend. Review sent requests and statuses in Requests; this list does not offer a cancellation button.
Expected result: a request is sent, followed by a friendship if they accept. This does not create event entry, a group registration, or a gift.
Respond to a request
1. Open Requests
Select Requests and review incoming requests. Check who sent each request before making a choice.
2. Choose your response
Choose Accept to connect or Decline if you do not want the friendship. Use the block action if you want to prevent further connection requests from that person. Wait for the result before making another choice.
3. Check Friends
Accepted connections appear in Friends. When available, this tab also shows friends at upcoming events. Check your own event record separately to confirm your registration.
Remove, block, or unblock someone
1. Find the connection
In Friends, locate the person and choose the available removal or block action. Removing a friend ends the friendship. Block everywhere also prevents new requests and affects the shared connection across Regosite and Furries PH Social. It does not change Social-only blocks or follows.
2. Confirm the intended action
Read the confirmation, check the person’s name, and continue only if this is the action you intended. Removing or blocking does not cancel either person’s event record.
3. Review or undo a block
Open Blocked to see Blocked everywhere connections. Choose Unblock for the correct person and confirm. Unblocking does not restore friendship; a new request is needed to reconnect.
Choose who can find you
1. Open Settings
Select the Friends Settings tab. Find Enable Friends and Discoverable by username.
2. Set each switch
Use Enable Friends to control whether you use Friends. Review Discoverable by username to choose whether others can find you through username search. These are separate choices after initial enablement.
3. Wait for confirmation
Privacy switches save when changed. Read the confirmation before leaving. Actions may wait while current data is checked; use the offered retry if the check fails.
Link Discord or Telegram
1. Open Connected accounts
In Friends → Settings, find Connected accounts and choose Link for the provider you want.
2. Complete the provider popup
Sign into the correct provider account and review its permission request. Follow the popup to finish. If blocked, allow the linking popup for Regosite and start again.
3. Confirm Linked status
Return to Friends and check that the provider shows Linked. Closing a popup early does not prove the connection saved.
To remove a connection later, choose Unlink and confirm. If an event separately requests Authorize server join for Discord, follow that request; an existing link may not include the permission the event needs.
Common problems and next steps
| Problem | What to check |
|---|---|
| Cannot find someone | Use at least two characters, confirm the username, and ask whether they enabled discovery. |
| Request pending | They have not accepted yet; check Requests for status. |
| Unblocked person is not a friend | A new friend request is required. |
| Provider not linked | Complete the popup and check its saved status; review popup blocking. |
| Event asks for more Discord approval | Follow its separate server-join permission request. |
For a Furries PH Social account link, use Account & security. For shared registration or gifts, use the event’s supported process.
