Registration
Waitlists, Activities, Volunteers, and Special Flows
Plain-language help for event paths that are not a normal attendee registration.
First created Last updated
Not every event uses the same path. If a button says Apply, Join waitlist, Submit activity, or Volunteer, follow that path instead of trying to force a normal registration.
Waitlist
Use the waitlist when regular registration is full and the event offers a waitlist button.
- Join only if you still want the available tier or place.
- Keep Notifications and email checked.
- If you get an offer, open it before the deadline shown.
- Finish the requested registration and payment steps promptly.
Joining a waitlist is not the same as being registered. You have a place only after the event confirms the required steps.
Activity submissions
An activity form is for things such as panels, workshops, performances, or other event-program submissions. Open the event’s activity link, read the organizer description, complete the required questions, and submit once your answers are ready.
If the form asks for usernames, use the exact @username of the person it names. This helps organizers identify co-panelists or other collaborators. A submitted activity is waiting for review; it is not automatically accepted.
Volunteer applications and shifts
- Open the volunteer page from the event.
- Pick a position first if the page asks you to.
- Answer the organizer’s questions and submit.
- Watch Notifications and the Volunteering area for the result.
- If accepted, check the shift date, time, location, and instructions before event day.
Applying does not promise a role. Do not arrive for a shift unless your assignment is accepted and scheduled.
Dealers Den
Dealers Den normally has two separate steps:
- Application: Tell the organizer about your table, portfolio, products, assistants, and any payment evidence requested.
- Dealer registration: Only continue when the organizer accepts the application and opens the next step.
Assistants must already be Friends on Regosite when the event uses the assistant picker. An invite or approval may still be needed after you add them.
Special-flow FAQ
I cannot see the waitlist button.
The event may not use a waitlist, may not be full, or may have closed it. Read the event page and organizer instructions.
Can I edit an application after sending it?
It depends on that event’s configuration. Check My Applications or the submitted record for an edit option; otherwise contact the organizer with the application details.
My volunteer application is submitted. What now?
Wait for review. Submitted means received, not accepted. Watch Notifications and the event’s stated communication channel.
