What a gifted rego is

A gifted rego buys a selected registration package for one named receiver. The buyer chooses and pays for the tier and allowed add-ons; the receiver later redeems it and completes their own attendee form.

A purchase alone does not give the receiver a completed event registration. Payment must be confirmed and the gift must be ready for redemption.

Before you start

Check that the event offers gifting and that the receiver has a Regosite account. Ask for their exact username and agree on the package and extras. They do not need to be on your friends list.

The form states that unredeemed gifts are non-refundable and non-transferable and locked to the chosen receiver. Check the person and choices before buying. You cannot gift someone who already has a rego or an unredeemed gift for that event.

Buyer step 1: Check the receiver

Open the event’s gift action. Enter the receiver’s exact username and choose Check receiver. Read the returned identity and eligibility result; do not proceed with a guess or a failed check.

Buyer step 2: Choose the gift and message

Choose an available tier and the permitted add-ons. Read its included items and check any relevant choices. These purchased selections will be fixed during redemption.

Add a message if wanted. Stay anonymous to the receiver changes what the receiver sees about the sender; the purchase still has a record. For example, you can send a birthday message without displaying your identity to the receiver.

Buyer step 3: Review the price and pay

Apply eligible codes when offered and wait for the current total. Follow the payment method and receiving-account instructions shown. Provide the required reference and receipt when money is due. Receipt images may be JPEG, PNG, or WebP and must be no larger than 10 MB.

Check the receipt is readable and matches the amount and receiver account shown. Read every required condition through and accept it individually.

Buyer step 4: Create the gift and keep its record

Review the receiver, event, items, message, anonymity choice, and total. Choose Create gift once and wait for the result.

Read whether payment is confirmed or still needs confirmation by the event partner. Keep the gift transaction in Transactions, and share the intended receiver’s redemption instructions privately. Do not tell them their entry is complete before redemption.

Receiver step 1: Sign in to the selected account

Sign in as the exact account named by the buyer and open the redemption action or link. Check the event and gift details. A gift for another account or event cannot be redeemed as your own registration here.

If payment is still unconfirmed, wait for the required confirmation or ask the buyer to check their transaction.

Receiver step 2: Complete your personal event answers

Follow the form’s visible steps. Enter your badge or display name, attendee answers, fursona details, and sizes where requested. Read and complete the conditions yourself. The buyer’s purchase does not answer your personal form for you.

The purchased tier and add-ons are fixed. Redemption skips collecting payment again, so do not make another payment simply to redeem a ready gift.

Receiver step 3: Submit and check your rego

Review your details, submit once, and open the resulting Event Rego transaction. Read the current confirmation status. Keep the confirmed pass ready using QR and wallet passes.

Common problems and next steps

• Receiver check fails: verify the username and whether an existing rego or unredeemed gift prevents another purchase.
• Redemption is unavailable: check the selected account, event, payment confirmation, and gift status.
• The purchase succeeded but the receiver has no pass: the receiver still needs to redeem and complete registration.
• You want to change a redeemed registration: follow the event’s available change actions. The unredeemed-gift restriction applies before redemption.
