Gifted Registration

How gifts work

Gifted regos let one attendee buy a registration for another attendee. The buyer handles purchase and payment first. The receiver still completes the normal attendee form before the rego is fully registered.

Gift behavior depends on event settings. Some events reserve capacity before redemption, while others count capacity only when the receiver redeems.

Buyer steps

1. Start the gift flow: Use the gift option on the event page when available.
2. Choose gift details: Follow event instructions for receiver, tier, add-ons, or payment.
3. Submit payment: Keep proof and monitor Transactions until the gift is ready.
4. Tell the receiver: The receiver needs a Regosite account and may need to redeem from their own Transactions view.

Receiver steps

Open the gift when it is ready to redeem, complete the event form, accept conditions, and submit the final rego. A gift is not complete until redemption finishes.
